Bio
Claire grew up in New Orleans and has served on Green City Market’s Board since 2017, and as Board Treasurer from 2018 to 2021. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Cornell University with a minor in Mathematics. Her first job was in Chicago as a software programmer for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Her technical skills led her to a proprietary options trading firm in the Chicago Board of Trade, which in turn led her to a career in international banking.
Claire has lived in Tokyo, Hong Kong and London and has held regional & global roles managing foreign exchange and derivatives divisions for international banks. Before returning to the US, she was a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank with global responsibility for front-to-back trading technology, operations, and customer service for foreign exchange cash & derivative products, managing over 600 staff.
Since returning to the US, amongst other things, Claire has worked for Habitat for Humanity building low-income housing after hurricane Katrina, returned to school to earn an applied science degree in Interior Design, and served as board Treasurer for the Old Town Triangle Association from 2012 through 2016.
Claire loves to return to New Orleans to visit family, fish for speckled trout and redfish, and eat fresh seafood at every opportunity. She is grateful to Green City Market for her ever-increasing appreciation of eating seasonally and with as many fresh, local ingredients as possible.
